What kind of problems in the VC industry can potentially be resolved by the blockchain?

At the beginning of the year, I was asked to speak at a blockchain event, one where the value of Security Token Offering (STOs) was analysed.

In case people are not familiar, STOs are by comparison to an IPO, a younger genetically modified sibling dealing with unquoted early-stage companies. The idea that you can have the same information and transparency as you would on a securities exchange before the company even had its first client is indeed seductive.
