Joining forces in challenging times
It is clear that we are living in unprecedented circumstances. Based on current governmental research close 700,000 SMEs are going to be affected by the next few months of uncertainty. In an economy such as ours where over 60% of all jobs are created by companies with less than 10 employees, it is a sign that we have to act and make small changes to go through this with some grace.
More than ever our tech founders need us to be there while investors are taking a pause to re-evaluate the economy and reposition themselves. It will be challenging for everyone in the innovation economy, not just founders. Emerging fund managers will be under more pressure to make sensible investments, without an ability to see 3 months into the future. For established fund managers the expectations from LPs will not change, funds will still need to be returned, trade sales will continue to be the preferred choice of divesting, in a time when valuations and market sentiment is most affected.
I am sure that there is no magical solution, but it is a time to remember that we are all dealing with people, and that together we can make the next few months more bearable.
It will cost nothing to support those next to us, to be fellows instead of foes, to think of ways to give to the ecosystem rather than take.
It is a call to join forces in providing a publicly available source of support and offers for companies.
Together as a group, we can help our ecosystem and each other navigate these uncertain times.
Be part of a public virtual ecosystem where you can offer your support, your free resources, one which is not owned nor tied with red-tape, but one which has the founder at its core.
